The Joker Part 2
January 22, 2008: If you are a fan of blockbusters such as Brokeback Mountain, A Knight’s Tale, Casanova, Monster’s Ball, The Patriot, and Lords of Dogtown…it’s a Dark night.  Heath Ledger was apparently found dead in New York today, quite possibly the result of a drug overdose.  I remember him in Ned Kelly and Monster’s Ball as well, and according to the news, he recently finished shooting The Joker too.  Not sure what other movies he made, but it seems like there were a few more.  Since the news broke this afternoon, the search engines have been hammered with searches related to Heath.

Was he named after a candy bar?  Not hardly…but it seems quite a few people heard the news about Heath’s death, but have no idea how to spell or say his name.  The 2nd most popular search is either for his brother, Keith Ledger…or my guess is it’s a mistake.  And, do you know Keith Fletcher, Keith Legend, or Heath Legend?  Me either, but all of them are famous today.  Probably the folks who are the farthest off in their search navigation are those looking for River Phoenix - although that might be totally unrelated (let’s hope).  I even tried going to heathledger.com, but the site was down.

Fafarazzi.com was another popular site search that got my attention tonight.  Unfortunately, this site is down as well.  PageSix.com is up and running, another site I’ve never heard of.  They had some news about Tom Brady’s foot as well as Heath photos.  Other than celebrity searches, the only other popular ones were for the prime rate, mortgage rates, and the stock market crash of 2008.  Hope tomorrow is less gloomy.
