Today is Monday, January 14th (2008) and it’s nice to see some totally new searches hitting the radar (in other words, it’s not all politics and football…with the exception of people wanting to see Terrell Owens (aka T.O.) cry a little, and a few people crying because they can’t afford tickets to the Super Bowl). The first searches that caught my eye were for a website at rottonneighbor.com (or rottoneighbor.com for those who struggled with the double n’s in the middle). This site appears to be in beta, where you can post comments (good or bad) about your neighbors, with or without including your identity. As is often the case for popular searches that lead to one URL, the site is pretty much down today…but give it a try in a day or two and say something nice about the person who shoveled your drive after the last snowfall (or something not so nice about the kid who rides his bike across your perfect lawn).
The sex tape search of the week (which recently seems to be the sex tape search of the day) is for Tiffany Pollard (whoever that is), who is also known as New York, from I Love New York or Flavor of Love…which might or might not be a reality show on TV. I watch little TV, so I have no clue. Just do the search if you have an interest.
Some of the cleanest searches are for people wanting to learn more about the Detroit Auto Show, which is getting a ton of press right now. Also known as the 2008 North American International Auto Show - online at naias.com. Although the show doesn’t open to the public for nearly a week (1/19) some of the hottest cars are the SmartForTwo, the Corvette ZR1, the concept hybrid truck from Toyota known as the A-B.A.T., and the Mustang Bullit. In general, it looks like a bunch of new hybrid cars, trucks, and suvs will be on display…as being green trumps speed and power when gas is over $3/gallon.
Finally, another interesting sight site that is gartering garnering a good deal of attention today is KnickerPicker, sometimes mispelled as NickerPicker (but hopefully never mistaken for nosepicker or worse!). KnickerPicker.com lets you select a female model, along with a selection of lingerie. Then, your selected model will appear wearing the item and walking up and down a little, virtual runway. I don’t know what all the hype is about here, so let me know if you figure it out. Guessing it’s the free delivery on all orders??
