Leading headlines on national news and online search today included a huge accident in Florida, along a stretch of Interstate 4 between Tampa and Orlando. Early reports are that more than 70 vehicles were involved in the pile-up, with 40 people injured and 4 people killed. Authorities are blaming the crash on extremely poor visibility conditions, likely due to a combination of fog mixed with smoke from brush fires. As many as 6 semis/tractor-trailers were burned completely in this massive pileup that occured early Wednesday morning, January 9th.
Once again, I have no clue who Lil’ Boosie is…however there are quite a few people trying to find out if this person is dead. After a bit of research on Google News, there was no mention of the apparent death of this rapper. At the same time, a quick jump over to Google Blog Search revealed a few posts on the topic. Seems that the rumor started on MySpace, went over to Digg, and now it’s getting a ton of search. Well, for now it seems to be a rumor…so check the real news if you’re interested in following this story.
Voter fraud in New Hampshire? This is the latest buzz, following some similar searches and news articles from earlier this week about fraud in the Iowa caucuses (those were mainly about underage people caucusing though). In this case, it all started when presidential hopeful Ron Paul evidently received some votes that were not counted in the final voter tally. This fire was fueled when Hillary Clinton went from being down nearly 10 percentage points to Obama in the last announced polls, only to finish 3% ahead and win New Hampshire. Well, this should give the conspiracy theorists something to blog about over the next few days. At the same time, if Governer Bill Richardson wins Michigan (even after dropping out of the race today), I’m jumping on the conspiracy bandwagon as well! C U Friday…
