Doc Hollywood
After three crazy days of people furiously searching for political news and college football bowls, things calmed down a little on January 5th.  The storms that pounded California and Nevada are still getting a good deal of attention, as are quite a few older movies (apparently on TV today), and some of their “then famous” actors.  For example, there’s Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Master of Disguise, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Doc Hollywood, etc.  A more recent movie related search today is for The Hulk (being filmed now for June release).

Some of the search phrases I had to look up included Googleganger (the person who shows up first when you Google your own name, other than yourself), Scrag (anybody’s guess…a game, a skinny person?), and Tameka Tiny Cottle (evidently a hip hop rappers girlfriend who might be pregnant again).

Today’s People Searches: Dorothy Hamill (treated for breast cancer), Alessija Dorfmann (breast implants cost her a job with the German Army), and Julie Warner (watch Doc Hollywood and you’ll do this image search as well)

Top Website Searches: katexoxo.com (can you guess?), tucc.org (appears that all of the search volume has taken the Trinity United Church of Christ web server down), helpfindmeredith.com (missing hiker in Georgia), pch.com (sweepstakes), and CoverGirl.com.

Top Sports Searches: All American Bowl (high school football), NFL Playoffs, International Bowl (Ball State & Rutgers)

Top Location Searches: Fernley, NV (levee broke…hundreds of homes flooded), and the Wyoming Caucus (nobody campaigned in Wyoming).
